A Little About Me…
Greetings! I’m Yaffe(aka Deidre Sully), principle consultant at DSPHC. my passion for public health is driven by a commitment to empowering communities and fostering partnerships that advance health equity. With over 18 years of experience, I have spearheaded transformative projects and campaigns aimed at increasing public health education in communities. From raising awareness about pervasive marketing menthol tobacco products to Black communities, to the “NYCHA Goes Smoke-Free” documentary, which showcased the impact of smoke-free policies in public housing. My work extends beyond filmmaking to leading significant campaigns and organizing high-profile events and symposiums across NYC, all aimed at enhancing public health awareness and policy change.
My approach to public health is collaborative and inclusive, focusing on engaging with organizations and stakeholders to drive sustainable improvements. I share my expertise and insights at conferences and webinars, helping to shape strategies that address complex health challenges. Through these engagements, I aim to inspire and equip other professionals and community leaders with the tools they need to succeed. Together, we work towards a common goal: creating healthier communities through effective public health practices and policies.
